Advancing Innovation in Dermatology (AID) recognizes the need for an increased commitment to new scientifically-based solutions in dermatology. The AID Scholars Class offers a unique opportunity to support early-career individuals interested in product and service innovation in dermatology. The 2018 AID Scholars will participate in the Virtual Magic Wand® (VMW) program which posits that the development of impactful innovative products and services is well served by deeply understanding and defining a dermatologic clinical problem worth solving.
The VMW program is a 10-month instructive, interactive, non-confidential course which culminates with the submission of a white paper from each Scholar. Through a competitive application process, 4 to 6 Scholars will be selected to participate in the program. Applications will be accepted between February 16, 2018 – March 30, 2018 and selected Scholars will be notified by May 4, 2018.
Scholars are eligible for a $1,500 grant from AID, reduced registration fees to the annual Dermatology Innovation Forum, and access to AID’s ecosystem of individuals and organizations.
Dermatology residents, fellows, postdoctoral fellows, early-career researchers and clinicians with a passion for innovation and problem-driven research are encouraged to apply.
